Obituary for Ronald McCune, Sr.
Ronald McCune, Sr., age 80, of Ava, Ohio, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. He was born May 16, 1933, in Noble County, son of the late Joseph W. and Leota S. Hupp McCune. He was a former employee of Crock Construction in Caldwell, and he delivered newspapers for the Daily Jeffersonian. He enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Williams McCune; his second wife, Winona Anderson McCune; one son, Ronnie McCune; two sisters, Betty McCune and Zola June McCune; and three brothers, Donald McCune, Everett McCune, and infant brother Leland McCune. Surviving are two daughters, Donna (Homer) Wittenbrook and Diane (Danny) Ross, both of Harriettsville; two sister, Nina Leasure of Lewisville and JoAnn Lincicome of Crooked Tree; one brother, John E. McCune of Caldwell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, December 30, 2013, from 5-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at 11AM with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Barry’s Ridge Cemetery.
