Obituary for Ronald Lee McConnell
Ronald Lee McConnell, age 75, of Mt. Ephraim, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born June 20, 1940, in Mt. Ephraim, son of the late Chelsie and Elsie Bates McConnell. He was a 1957 graduate of Sarahsville High School, and he retired from Plastech in Byesville as a material handler. He was a member of Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church, Olive Lodge # 210, F&AM, and the Valley of Cambridge, AASR, 32nd degree mason.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Dean and John Hubert McConnell, one son-in-law, Charles Neff; and one nephew, Bobby Jo McConnell.
Surviving are his children, Rhonda K. Hacker of Crestview, Florida, Gipp M. (Dina) McConnell of Copley, Alicia J. (Todd) Truesdale of Huber Heights, and Kara L. Neff and Megan M. McConnell, both of Byesville; one brother, Terry D. (Sharon) McConnell of Caldwell; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his friends and neighbors in Mt. Ephraim.
Friends may call Friday, December 4, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a masonic service will be observed at 7:30PM. The funeral service will be observed Saturday, December 5th at 1PM with Pastor Tom Matus officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Ephraim Cemetery.
