Obituary for Ronald G. "Hap" Hesson
Ronald G. “Hap” Hesson, age 63, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, November 26, 2021, at his home. He was born November 10, 1958, in Zanesville, son of the late Harry Merrill and Esther A. Schott Hesson. Hap was a 1977 graduate of Shenandoah High School, where he was a standout basketball and baseball player. He was formerly employed by Worl Thompson Motors in the parts department and was an insurance agent for Combined Insurance. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved to walk and enjoyed playing cards. Hap always had a smile on his face.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant sister, Vicky Ann Hesson; two brothers, James M. Hesson and Gary M. “Doc” Hesson; a nephew, Stephen Anthony Hesson; and a brother-in-law, Steve Woodhull.
Surviving are one sister, Kathy J. Woodhull of Berlin Heights; two brothers, Stephen M. Hesson and Thomas D. Hesson, both of Caldwell; his nieces and nephews, Darla Reyes, Donna Hesson, Paula Hesson, Megan Guth, and Jonathan “J.D.” Hesson; four aunts and two uncles; and several cousins.
Friends may call Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Pastor George Clark and Ken Perkins officiating.
