Obituary for Ronald D. Ross
Ronald D. Ross, age 72, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Highland Oaks Care Center in McConnellsville, Ohio. He was born July 24, 1938, in South Olive, Ohio, son of the late Lawrence and Delia Morgareidge Ross. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School and a veteran of the Ohio National Guard. He sold insurance and operated the former Noble Jewelry Store. He retired from the former Mahle plant following 35 years of service, and at one time attended the Main Street Church of Christ. He enjoyed reading, working on clocks and watches, and tinkering with cars.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn P. Teeters Ross, whom he married June 2, 1961, and who died April 28, 2003.
Surviving are his children, Eric S. Ross of Caldwell, Theresa A. Scott of McConnellsville, Tammy L. Fogle of Newark, and Tracy L. Hupp of Pleasant City; two brothers, Larry J. Ross of Caldwell and Harold Ross of West Virginia; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Thursday, April 14th at 1PM with Evangelist Craig Matheney officiating. A military graveside service will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville conducted by the Noble County Veterans Service Organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care - Genesis HealthCare System, 713 Forest Ave., Zansville, Ohio, 43701.
