Obituary for Ronald D. Wheeler
Ronald D. Wheeler, age 79, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. He was born September 26, 1934, in Noble County, son of the late Earl and Beulah Sarah Fogle Wheeler, Sr. He retired as a mechanic from King Limestone in 1993 following 30 years of service. He enjoyed coon hunting.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Pitts, Ruth Wheeler, and an infant sister; one brother, Earl Wheeler, Jr.; and one daughter-in-law, Gail Wheeler.
Surviving are his wife, June Moore Wheeler, whom he married July 9, 1952; his children, John D. (Darla) Wheeler of Ava, Jerry D. Wheeler, Joe D. (Brenda) Wheeler, Jay D. (Janell) Wheeler, and Bill P. Wheeler, all of Caldwell; three sisters, Nellie (Joe) Fredrickson of Caldwell, Margaret Bates of Byesville, and Virginia Woodford of Zanesville; one brother, Gilbert (Judy) Wheeler of Caldwell; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Monday, June 23, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, June 24th at 11AM with Pastor Dave Wells and Pastor Jimmy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery near Ava.
