Obituary for Ronald A. Hronec
Ronald A. Hronec, age 63, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, December 10, 2011, as the result of an ATV accident near his home. He was born August 28, 1948, in Caldwell, son of Andrew and Mary Heddleson Hronec of Caldwell. He was a 1966 graduate of Shenandoah High School, and he received an associate’s degree in applied science and technology from West Virginia University in 2011. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in Korea. He retired from the former Mahle Corporation in 2008. Mr. Hronec was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pleasant City, the Caldwell VFW Post # 4721, and the Belle Valley American Legion Post #641. He enjoyed sports, golfing, and he loved his dog, Hootch. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Joan L. Minyo Hronec, whom he married February 21, 1987; two sons, John Ronald Hronec and Andrew Paul Hronec, both of the home; one sister, Diane L. (James) Wharton of Caldwell; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may call Wednesday, December 14, 2011, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Thursday, December 15th at 10AM. A military graveside service will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery near Ava conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
