Obituary for Rita T. Estep
Rita T. Estep, age 89, of Pleasant City, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at her home. She was born February 20, 1932, in Zanesville, daughter of the late James D. and Frances E. White Kirkbride. Rita was a graduate of Sarahsville High School and she was an in-home caregiver for several years. She attended the former Center Free Methodist Church in Sarahsville. She loved tending to her flower garden, reading, and writing poems. She was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Tony Steed; one sister, Sandra L. Ball; and one brother, Ray Kirkbride.
Surviving are her husband, Oscar James Estep, whom she married December 29, 1952; her children, Teresa E. Estep Mollohan Kisor of Coolville, Judy D. Estep (Greg Ludwig) of Walhonding, and Susan D. Estep and Steven J. Estep, both of Pleasant City; her siblings, June Funk of Pleasant City, Evelyn Ball of Marietta, Cindy (Junior) Anderson of Pleasant City, Cheryl (Gary) Funk of Tennessee, Patsy (Jimmy) Eschman of Belle Valley, and Ben (Nellie) Kirkbride of Zanesville; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren with one to be born; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Charles W. Ball of Sarahsville; a sister-in-law, Louise Kirkbride of Pleasant City; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private inurnment will be observed by the family at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family.
