Obituary for Raymond L. Hupp
Raymond L. Hupp, age 64, of Macksburg, Ohio, died Saturday, October 14, 2006, at his residence. He was born January 25, 1942, in Caldwell, Ohio, son of the late James Leroy and Vonnie Eleanor Forshey Hupp. He was a graduate of Dexter City High School, and he was a United States Army veteran, having been stationed as a guard along the Berlin Wall in Germany. He worked in oil fields for 15 years and was formerly employed by Donald Morris Lumber and Schott Lumber Companies. Mr. Hupp worked for the Village of Macksburg and Aurelius Township as a street and road superintendent, and maintained several cemeteries, including Lund, Eastern, Village View, and Crooked Tree Cemeteries. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his wife, Carol Lee Wears Hupp, whom he married June 10, 1972; one daughter, Mrs. Sean (Tracy Lynn) Hupp of Caldwell; one son, Michael Wayne (Rebecca) Hesson of Batesville; a half-brother, Floyd (Charlene) Thompson of Caldwell; a brother-in-law, Larry D. Wears of the home; 6 grandchildren, James, Troy, Timothy, Michael, Matt, and Carolyn; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, October 16, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 17 at 11AM with Pastor Ken Ogg officating. Burial will follow at Lund Cemetery, Macksburg, with military graveside services conducted by the Noble County Veteran Services Organization.
