Obituary for Raymond H. Clark
Raymond H. Clark, age 77, of Senecaville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the Worthington Christian Village in Worthington. He was born February 15, 1937, in Middleburg, son of Walter Lee and Bertha Heddleson Clark. He spent his youth in Noble County and in 1959, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country for ten years. He left the Air Force to take over the family farm in Senecaville, which was his passion until his health failed later in life. He retired from Columbia Gas Transmission following 24 years of service, and he attended and was a founding member of the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed fishing and feeding his fish, and he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, George Lee Clark, and Arthur Leland “Buzz” Clark.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Sandy Helen Perkins Clark, whom he married March 12, 1966; one daughter, Lisa (Corey) Robinson of Delaware; one son, Lee (Penny) Clark of Delaware; one sister, Louise Barnett of Devola; one brother, Ralph (Jolene) Clark of Dexter City; 5 grandchildren, Hope Clark, Nathan Clark, Clara Clark, Kaitlyn Zacharias, and Connor Robinson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Friday, September 5, 2014, from 4-8PM at the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene, 6 Cumberland Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, September 6th at 11AM with Pastor John Powell officiating. A military graveside service will follow at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
