Obituary for Ray Junior Hogue
Ray Junior Hogue, age 80, of Strasburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Hennis Care Center in Bolivar. He was born May 2, 1934, in Lewisville, Ohio, son of the late Ray Nelson “Shorty” and Lena Morris Hogue. He attended Caldwell High School and retired in 1996 from Aultman Hospital in Canton, having worked for 17 years in the maintenance department. He was Methodist by faith. Ray enjoyed old cars, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He dearly loved his English Bulldogs and other family pets.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Boyd Hogue, whom he married April 20, 1953; one son, Deltin W. “Del” Hogue of Strasburg; one daughter, Darla R. (David) Hogue Galbreath of New Concord; one grandson, Adam W. Galbreath of New Concord; and his sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Friday, October 10, 2014, from 12PM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday at 1PM with Pastor Helen Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
