Obituary for Philomena Stephanie Caldwell
Philomena Stephanie Caldwell, age 85, of Belle Valley, Ohio, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, at her home. She was born September 14, 1924, in Belle Valley, daughter of the late John and Emilia Krumpasky Sklenar. She was a 1942 graduate of Belle Valley High School, and retired in 1987 from the former JP Industries (Cleveland Graphite Bronze) Plant in Caldwell after 35 years of service. She was member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Belle Valley and a faithful member of its Catholic Women's Club. She was a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Auxiliary for decades. She was known to many people as ?Aunt Philly?, and she will be remembered for her selfless acts of kindness and generosity to all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Caldwell, whom she married at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in 1945; three sisters, Christine Milledge, Connie Harbaugh and Martha Sklenar; one brother, John Sklenar; and several infant brothers and sisters. Surviving are her son, Charles (Marlene) Caldwell of Pataskala; one brother, Victor (June) Sklenar of Lore City; one grandson, Eric (Angela) Caldwell of Indianapolis, Indiana; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. Friends may call Wednesday, October 7, 2009, from 4-7 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a Christian Wake Service will follow at 7PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 8, 2009, at 10AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Belle Valley with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt.
