Obituary for Pearl R. Elliott
Pearl R. Elliott, age 96, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born January 23, 1914, in Sharon Twp., Noble County, daughter of the late Loren and Effie Keyser Ramsey. She was a 1932 graduate of Forest Grove High School, and she was employed by the former Gateway Market as well as being a homemaker. She was the oldest member of First Church of Christ in Caldwell, an honorary member of the Good Neighbor Club, a member of the Sharon Grange, and a former member of the Amazon Chapter #30 OES. She enjoyed quilting and being with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rolland Parks Elliott, whom she married September 10, 1938, and who died March 10, 2000; one granddaughter, Marsha Hurst, who died in 1997; one grandson, Leslie Harmon;two sisters, Laura Ramsey and Belle Ramsey Boyd; four brothers, Wilbur, Walter, Herbert, and Charles Ramsey; and two sons-in-law, Robert McKee and Earl Harmon.
Surviving are two daughters, Frela McKee of Troy and Lois Ann (Herb) Hurst of Caldwell; one son, Gerald (Pat) Elliott of Caldwell; two sisters-in-law, Jean Ramsey and Doris Ramsey, both of Caldwell; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several step-grand and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, September 28, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, September 29th at 11AM with Pastor Loran Dace officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of Christ General Fund, 601 North Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, or to a charity of ones choice.
