Pearl Jean Stack, age 76, of Dexter City died Monday morning ( 7/14/2003) at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born May 14, 1927 in Elba, Ohio a daughter of the late Carl and Elsie Berg Griffin. She retired from the former Clevite Corporation in 1996, was a member of the Elba Community Church, the women of the Moose and the American Legion Ladies Auxillary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband; Paul Baker, 2 brothers; Earl Dean Griffin and Norval Griffin, 1 sister; Gail Hackathorn, 1 great-grandson; Carl Steven Stack. She is survived by her husband James Stack whom she married on March 19, 1956, 2 daughters; Sandra (Kenneth) Stack of Macksburg and Joyce Ray, 1 son; Roger Thompson, 3 sisters; Marlene (Donald) Hesson of Elba, Wanda Dennis of Lowell, Karen (Jerry) Long of Lowell, 2 brothers; Wendell (Margaret) Griffin of Louisville and Ernie (Donna) Griffin of Macksburg, 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 pm with Rev. Jim Fernihugh officiating. Burial will be in Williamson-Stack Cemetery.
