Paul Albert Schott, age 85, of Slaters Rd. Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday afternoon (5/17/2003) at his home. He was born 12/20/1917 in Harriettsville, Ohio, a son of the late Henry & Laura Zwick Schott. He had owned, operated and served as President of Schott Lumber Company in Caldwell for many years, and was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church at Caldwell. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers Henry Schott, Jr. who died in infancy, Robert Schott, and a sister Betty Ortle. Surviving are his wife E. Geneva Archer Schott whom he married 9/5/1942; 3 sons Richard (Connie) Schott of Caldwell, Ohio, Ronald (Carla) Schott of Zanesville, Ohio and Michael (Karen) Schott of Caldwell, Ohio; 5 sisters Pauline Schafer of Caldwell, Ohio, Delores Archer of Caldwell, Ohio, Beulah (Frank) Cardarella of Stow, Ohio, Mildred (James) Ackley of Caldwell, Ohio and Marilyn (Tim) Fleming of Wyoming; 1 sister-in-law Dorothy Schott of Caldwell, Ohio 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Friends may call Tuesday (5/20/2003) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, Ohio, where Christian Scripture Services will be held at 3:30 PM. Funeral Mass with Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday (5/21/2003) at 10 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, Ohio, with Fr. Dale Tornes as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
