Obituary for Patrick F. Stover

Patrick F. Stover, age 81, of Waterford, Ohio, died Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born October 21, 1942, in Athens, son of the late Delbert and Ruby Ball Stover. Patrick was a 1968 graduate of Dexter City High School and Washington State Community College, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in electrical engineering. He retired from AEP, having worked for several years at the Muskingum River plant. He attended the Whigville Community Church and was a devoted Christian man. Patrick enjoyed working in his garage. He was devoted to his family.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Morgan Stover and Bruce Stover.


Surviving are his wife, Janet L. Gildow Stover, whom he married March 11, 1966; his children, Jeffrey L. Stover of Barlow and Jodi L. (Brian) Kummer of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Jacob (Jenna) Kummer of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Kaley Kummer of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; his siblings, Delbert Stover and Mike Stover, both of Dexter City, Kathy Stanley of Florence, South Carolina, Carolyn Saling of Dexter City, Doris Little of South Carolina, and Victor Stover of Lewisburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Friends may call Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 2-6PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Whigville Community Church.
