Patricia Sue “Patti” Perkins, age 59, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Altercare Summit Acres. She was born July 25, 1963, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Kora E. Carr Perkins, Jr. Patti attended the Golden Rule School and was employed by Guernsey Industries, both of Byesville. She was a cheerleader for the Guernsey Eagles basketball team for many years and competed in Special Olympics in swimming, track, and bowling. She loved going to dances and most recently participated in Tim Tebow’s A Night to Shine dances. Patti attended Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley. She loved God, her family, and was a friend to many. She loved to give people hugs and had a smile that would light up a room.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her great-niece, Ila Anne Perkins.
Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Robin Perkins of Caldwell; her nephew and his wife, Kasey and Emilee Perkins of Caldwell; her great-niece, Kenna Marie Perkins of Caldwell; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends.
A private service will be observed by the family; however, it will be livestreamed on the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home Facebook page for those who would like to participate on Saturday at 12PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Guernsey County Special Olympics, c/o Guernsey Industries, 60772 Southgate Parkway, Cambridge, Ohio, 43725, to support local athletes.
