Obituary for Patricia June Carsey
Patricia June Carsey, age 83, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Zanesville. She was born June 24, 1926, in Murray City, daughter of the late Jabez "Jay" and Faye Wine Hamer. She was the owner and operator of Skyview TV and Satellite in Caldwell, and she was formerly employed by Hamilton Beach Scoville in Byesville, McBees, Inc. in Athens, and Food Center in Caldwell. She attended the Caldwell Church of Christ, and she enjoyed cooking, traveling, and loving on her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cleetus Carsey, whom she married April 9, 1943, and who died in 2005; one son, Edson Jay Carsey, who died in 1972; three sisters, Helen James, Betty Wyant, and Margaret Irwin; and two brothers, Eugene and Jack Hamer.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon K. (Arthur) Stottsberry of Caldwell; one son, David K. (Marilyn) Carsey of Caldwell; two brothers, William (Nancy) Hamer of Columbus and Wayne "Mick" (Carolyn) Hamer of Aurora, Illinois; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, January 7, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, January 8th at 1PM with Pastor Jim Garrett and Pastor Brennan Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville.
