Obituary for Norma Jean VanFleet
Norma Jean VanFleet, age 77, of Batesville, Indiana, died Wednesday (12/18/2002), at the Waters of Batesville. She was born 2/10/1925 in Caldwell, Ohio, a daughter of the late Earl & Opal Barnes McElfresh. She was a homemaker, a member of the Batesville, Indiana and Naples, Florida United Methodist Churches and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband late James F. VanFleet who died 10/20/2002; a son Gary and a daughter Robin VanFleet. Surviving are 2 daughters Carlan (Bill) Bishoff of Batesville, Indiana and Leslie VanFleet of Cincinnati, Ohio; 3 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. Friends may call Friday (12/20/2002) from 4 to 8 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell, Ohio. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday (12/21/2002) at 10:00 AM at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell, Ohio. The family requests that memorials be made to the Dr. J. Michael Hansen Scholarship Fund, c/o Ripley County Community Foundation, South Main Street, Batesville, Indiana 47006.
