Obituary for Nadine Reed
Nadine Reed, age 80, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, November 8, 2013, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born July 25, 1933, at Archer’s Ridge in Noble County, daughter of the late Nathan and Mary Angeline Phelps Wickham. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed watching television, especially sports. She was a fan of NASCAR driver Mark Martin, and she enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Boston Celtics. She was known as Little Grandma by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edsel O. Reed, who died June 23, 1994; one grandson, Adam Lee Reed, who died October 29, 2012; twin great-granddaughters, Erica and Kayla Moore; three sisters, Bernadine Crimaldi, Pauline Wickham, and Blanche Wickham; and her beloved dog, Twinkie. Surviving are her children, Brenda O. (Bob) Miller of Caldwell, Janet L. (Jerry) Martin, Penny D. (Perry) Brown, Gary L. (Penny) Reed, and Michael O. (Joy) Reed, all of Caldwell; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved dog, Tootsie. Friends may call Tuesday, November 12, 2013, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 1PM with Pastor John Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Ark Springs Cemetery in Chandlersville. Memorial contributions may be made to Paws, Inc. Humane Society of Noble County, P.O. Box 4, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
