Obituary for Misty Dawn Harriman
Misty Dawn Harriman, age 43, of Lower Salem, Ohio, died Friday, September 27, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born November 7, 1975, in Cambridge, daughter Charles A. and Marylin Dawn Crosson Harriman of Lower Salem. She was a 1994 graduate of Skyview High School and Swiss Hills Vocational School, where she studied accounting. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Kentucky. Misty was a United States Army veteran, having served with the military police in Germany, Bosnia, and at Fort Knox. She was employed as a corrections officer at the Noble Correctional Institution in Caldwell. She loved her work, and she enjoyed surf fishing and traveling. She loved her dogs, Lily and Mia, and she was devoted to her family.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Myrtle Harriman and John Crosson and Maxine Shaffer; and a brother-in-law, Rodger Sparks.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her partner of almost 5 years, Shawna M. Bunner of Parkersburg, West Virginia; her siblings, Shelly R. Harriman of Newport, Tony A. (Becky) Harriman of Dexter City, and Mary M. (Tim) Guy and Chrystal V. Harriman, all of Lower Salem; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 11AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 2PM with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. A veteran’s graveside service will follow at Ogle’s Ridge Cemetery conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
