Obituary for Mildred Viola Law
Mildred Viola Law, age 93, of Rt. #1 Senecaville, Ohio, died Sunday evening (7/7/2002) at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell, Ohio. She was born 1/2/1909 near Fredericksdale, Center Township, Noble County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Guy & Maggie Hague Oliver. She was a graduate of Mt. Ephraim High School; was a homemaker and had operated, along with her late husband Law & Sons Fruit Farm beginning in 1928; She was a life long member of the Mt. Ephraim United Methodist Church, where she had played piano and organ for 35 years; was a 4-H Advisor for 38 years. She was a 50 year member and Past Worthy Matron of Aurelius Chapter #30 Order of the Eastern Star in Caldwell, Ohio. She had sold Avon Products for 30 years; was an avid crocheter & gardener being especially fond of African Violets. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James Dallas Law whom she married 6/16/1928 and who died 5/31/1989; 1 daughter Carol Snode; 1 infant son Robert David Law; 1 great grandson; 1 great-great grandson; 2 brothers Donald & Fred G. Oliver. Surviving are 1 son Myron L. (Cynthia A.) Law of Rt. #1 Senecaville, Ohio; 1 sister Estalene Weaston of Hilliard, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Friends may call Tuesday (7/9/2002) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home,416 East Street in Caldwell, Ohio 43724, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Ellison officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Ephraim Cemetery in Mt. Ephraim, Ohio. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey, P.O. Box #1165, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
