Obituary for Mildred I. Yonker
Mildred I. Yonker, age 86, of Belle Valley, Ohio, died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born September 8, 1929, in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Andy and Belva C. Yarnell Velosky. She was a 1947 graduate of Belle Valley High School, and she was employed as a shipping inspector for the former Glacier Vandervell plant in Caldwell. She was a member of the Belle Valley United Methodist Church, and a member of the Belle Valley American Legion Auxilliary, Post #641.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Paul Yonker, whom she married in June, 1948, and who died August 19, 1993; two sons, Paul Joseph “P.J.” Yonker, who died in 2006, and Robert Lee Yonker, who died in 2011; two sisters, Margie Saunders and Ruth Lickert; and three brothers, Walter Velosky, Rev. Arthur Velosky, and Larry Velosky.
Surviving are her children, Kimberly (Tom) Zudell and Denise (Tom) Fowler, both of Caldwell, and Darrel E. (Donna) Yonker of Belle Valley; one brother, James (Helen) Velosky of Dayton, Kentucky; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 29, 2016, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, March 30th at 11AM with Pastor Joe Wright officiating.
