Obituary for Mildred A Gardner
Mildred A. Gardner, age 80, of Caldwell, Ohio died Friday evening (4/2/2004)at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. She was born 2/12/1924 in Warren Township, Macomb County, Michigan, a daughter of the late Clarence & Sophia M. Brahler Callahan. She was a graduate of Dexter City High School; a homemaker and a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Robert Cooper Gardner whom she married 7/23/1948 and who died 4/13/1989; a daughter Deborah A. Hemminger who died 3/18/1994; Albert & Agnes Crock by whom she raised; 3 brothers Clarence, Claude & Clyde Callahan and 1 sister Catherine Dowling. Surviving is a granddaughter Shannon Lea Hemminger; a son-in-law Gene Hemminger both of Coshocton; a sister-in-law Mary Lou (George) Vaughn of Caldwell; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home on Monday (4/5/2004) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where Christian Scripture Services will be held at 8:30 pm. Funeral Mass with Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday (4/6/2004) at 10 am at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Fr. Dale Tornes as celebrant. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to the Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
