Obituary for Michael Romnosky, Jr.
Michael Romnosky, Jr., age 84, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, November 8, 2013, at Sycamore Run Nursing and Rehab in Millersburg. He was born November 10, 1928, in Bakerton, Pennsylvania, son of the late Michael and Mary Lakmanyak Romnosky, Sr. He was employed as a truck driver for Alsco in Gnadenhutten, from which he retired, and he was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Caldwell, and a member of Sharon Lodge #136, F&AM. He enjoyed harness racing, and he was the proud owner of Trouble Time Lass. He also enjoyed fishing and playing cards. In addition to his parents, she is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Hill Romnosky, who died April 26, 2013; one son, Terry Romnosky, who died May 11, 1979; and two brothers, Billy and George Romnosky. Surviving are one daughter, Diana L. Roberts of St. Clairsville; three sisters, Mary, Eleanor, and Connie; one brother, Johnny; one step-brother, Frankie; four grandchildren, Shawn Roberts, Lynnette Vigoffi, Tina Romnosky, and Anthony Romnosky; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, November 11, 2013, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. The funeral service will be observed Tuesday, November 12th at 11AM at the Caldwell Church of Christ, 104 Cumberland Street, Caldwell, with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.
