Obituary for Melinda Sue Saling Antill
Melinda Sue Saling Antill, age 62, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, December 22, 2017, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born July 26, 1955, in Marietta, daughter of the late Edward John and Genevieve Clara Miller Saling. She was a 1973 graduate of Caldwell High School, and she attended business school in Columbus. Melinda owned and operated Melinda’s Ceramics and Gifts for many years and she was known for her Holiday Christmas Show. She loved Christmas time and looked forward to snow.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Andrew Amsden; one sister, Carol Saling Thompson Heavner; and one brother, Michael G. Saling.
Surviving are her husband, Gregory W. Antill, whom she married February 20, 1975; her children, Jon E. (Francine) Amsden of Medina, G. Aaron Antill of Caldwell, and Ashly L. “Chicky” (Sherman) McClain of Brunswick, Georgia; her siblings, John E. (Sue) Saling, Janet M. Saling, and Mona M. Saling, all of Caldwell; Sandy L. Arbogast of Kidron, and Roxanne L. (Ron) Reed of Sarahsville; 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Amsden and Vanessa McClain; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.
A private memorial service will be observed by the family. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell is caring for the family.
