Obituary for Maxine M. Biehl
Maxine M. Biehl, age 93, of Carrollton, Kentucky, formerly of Marietta, Ohio, died Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Signature Healthcare at Carrollton. She was born May 17, 1928, at Moss Run, Washington County, Ohio, daughter of the late Carl and Effie Green Strickler. Maxine was a homemaker and a member of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union and Number Nine Community Church. She loved hosting evangelists and missionaries in her home, and she enjoyed gardening. Maxine was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Duane Biehl, whom she married November 29, 1946, and who died December 6, 2011; and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her children, Randall D. (Mary) Biehl of Carrollton, Kentucky, Carolyn (Robert) Deeds of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and Debra K. (Larry) Harper of Caldwell, Ohio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 4-8PM at Moss Run Community Church, 41 Alexander Road, Marietta, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, January 28th at 11AM with Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Moss Run Cemetery. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, Ohio, is caring for the family. Guests are asked to practice recommended safety guidelines to protect against Covid at all gatherings.
