Obituary for Matthew D. Boylen
Matthew D. Boylen, age 22, of Lower Salem, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born May 22, 1984, in Marietta, Ohio, son of Donna Wittenbrook Boylen of Lower Salem and the late Robert Lee Boylen, Jr., who died August 26, 2002. He was a satellite installer for Noble Satellite in Caldwell, and worked occasionally for A&L Muffler Shop at Caldwell. Matthew was a volunteer fireman for the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department, and enjoyed deer hunting. He gave the gift of life through organ donation. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Kelsey Raeanne Pearson of Byesville; his girlfriend, Maggie Pearson of Byesville; one brother, Robert L. (Carrie) Boylen, III of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Randy (Mindy) Callihan and Mrs. Stacey (Jamie) Harriman, both of Lower Salem; maternal grandmother, Geneva Wittenbrook of Caldwell; paternal grandparents, Robert L. and Betty Boylen of St. Marys, West Virginia; nieces and nephews, Cody, Casey, Cole, and Clay Harriman, Randall Callihan, and Alexis Boylen; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may call Saturday, August 19, 2006, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Sunday, August 20, at 2PM with Pastor Jon Irvin officiating. Burial will follow at Masterton Cemetery near Lebanon, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the family.
