Marylois Hill, age 96, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Ellison Assisted Living in Marietta, Ohio. She was born January 20, 1928, in Sharon Twp., Noble County, daughter of the late Howard and Ada Walters Hill. Marylois was a graduate of Forest Grove High School. She retired in 1990 from United Technologies in Zanesville. She was instrumental in forming the Noble County RIPPLES Cancer Support Group along with Anne Pickenpaugh.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Jessie Elliott, Frieda Hill, and Arline Hill; and one brother, Dwight Hill.
Surviving are two nieces, Jane (James) Watson of Williamstown, West Virginia, and Joyce McKitrick of Columbus; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins.
Friends may call Sunday, May 12, 2024, from 1-3PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. A graveside service will follow at 3:30PM at Sharon Cemetery with Ken Perkins officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the RIPPLES and Waves of Noble County, c/o Cancer Support Community of Central Ohio, 1100 Olde Henderson Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43220, or a charity of one’s choice.
