Obituary for Mary Virginia Martin
Mary Virginia 'Ginny' Martin, age 74, of Belle Valley, died Saturday morning 8/14/2004 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born 1/8/1930 in Okolona, Mississippi a daughter of the late Anderson Andy and Jessie Lee Mask Rea. She was a homemaker and had worked as a home health aid for GMN Tri County Action Committee in Caldwell; was a former member of the Belle Valley American Legion Auxiliary; was an avid quilter, Euchre player and loved flowers and dogs. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 1st husband George Washington Clark, Jr. who died in 1958; 1 sister Elizabeth White and 3 brothers Frank, Cecil and infant Allen Rea. Surviving are her husband Warren Martin, whom she married 1/10/1959; 3 sons Allen (Beverly) Clark of Reynoldsburg, Andy Clark of Caldwell and Allec (Cindy) Clark of Mineral Wells, WVA; 1 daughter Cheryll (Terry) Hamilton of Canton; 1 sister Clara Barfield of Dayton; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends may call Monday (8/16/2004) from 3-5 & 7-9 pm at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home in Caldwell where services will be held on Tuesday (8/17/2004) at 1 pm with Pastor Rodney Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Hiramsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marietta Memorial Hospital.
