Obituary for Mary Rose Saling
Mary Rose Saling, age 75, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at her residence. She was born June 1, 1929, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Roman and Edna Sorg Crum. She was a retired employee of Caldwell Food Center, where she was the frozen foods manager, and she was a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caldwell, and its Catholic Women's Club. Surviving are her husband, Edgar W. 'Bill' Saling, whom she married October 1, 1946; two sons, Robert (Sally) Saling and Rick (Carol) Saling, both of Caldwell; two daughters, Mrs. Roger (Judith) Thomas and Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Archer, both of Caldwell; three sisters, Marjorie Saling, Louella Macenko, and Lucille 'Boots' Archer, all of Caldwell; nine grandchildren, Dayton and Jill Saling, Brenda Witter, Brian and Brad Estadt, Jennifer Carter, Tony and Adam Archer, and Amanda Hlad; eleven great-grandchildren, Matthew Saling, Nathan and Alex Witter, Josh, Rachel, and Krista Estadt, Mindi, Kelli, Molli, and Dale Carter, and Cadence Archer; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday, February 26, from 6-8PM and Sunday, February 27, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell. A Christian Scripture service will be held Sunday evening at 7:30PM. Funeral Mass with Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 28, at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caldwell, with the Rev. Fr. Dale Tornes as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell. The family requests memorials be made to the Hospice of Guernsey.
