Mary Rose Hohman, age 85, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, July 23, 2007, at Genesis Extended Care Center, Zanesville. She was born January 11, 1922, in East Union, Ohio, daughter of the late Elijah Fredrick and Cecelia Schockling Crum. She retired as a registered nurse from Good Samaritan Medical Center in Zanesville. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fulda, and its Catholic Women's Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Hohman, who died November 22, 1993; one son, Daniel Hohman; and two sisters, Margaret Hanes and Delores Heil. Surviving are four daughters, Barbara (Gregory) Cowell of Chesapeake, Virginia, Margaret (Timothy) Matheny of Newark, Marcella (Jon) Booth of Zanesville, and Rose Ann (David) Fischer of Marysville; three sons, Neal (Barbara) Hohman of Marietta, Edward (Christine) Hohman of Mt. Vernon, and David (Debbie) Hohman of Southington; two sisters, Alberta Hohman of Canton and JoAnn (Charles) Zwick of Caldwell; one brother, Norbert Crum of East Union; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, July 26, 2007, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where Christian Scripture services will be held at 7:30PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Friday, July 27th at 10AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda with Father Samuel Saprano as celebrant. Burial will follow at St, Mary's Parrish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055-9925.
