Obituary for Mary M. Hill
Mary M. Hill, age 87, of Caldwell, Ohio, died October 21, 2008, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born November 29, 1920, in Caldwell, daughter of the late John and O'Tillia Nau Hupp. Mrs. Hill retired from C&S Plumbing in Caldwell, where she worked for 26 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fulda where she was a member its Catholic Women's Club. Mary was warm, caring, and always concerned about others above herself. She loved her family and friends, her farm, and a good game of euchre. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, whom she married September 30, 1944, and who died July 26, 1968. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Louella Crum, Albert Hupp, Edward Hupp, Thelma Johnson, Agatha Schafer, Art Hupp, Leoba Archer, Howard Hupp, Rose Schell, and Norbert (Bill) Hupp; her children, Donald (Beverly) Hill of Caldwell, Karen (Gary) Wambold of Irvine, California, Dr. Kathryn Hill of Kettering, Margaret (Timothy) McCrate of Kettering, Edith (Michael) Ritzert of West Chester, Ronald (Christine) Hill of Centerville, Barbara (Alan) Hill-Burke of Dublin, Dale (Mary) Hill of Shreveport, Louisiana, Joseph (Jean) Hill of Caldwell, Alan Hill of Caldwell, Mark (Peggy) Hill of Zanesville, and Lora (Dan) Cox of Dublin; 26 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and special family friends, Nick and Penny Schell. Friends may call Friday, October 24, 2008, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a vigil service will be observed at 8:30PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Saturday, October 25th at 10AM at St. Mary's Church in Fulda with Rev. Fr. Thomas Hamm as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church, 43700 Fulda Road, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, in Mary's memory.
