Obituary for Mary M. Connell
Mary M. Connell, age 82, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born July 12, 1928, near Middleburg, Ohio, daughter of the late Nathan and Agnes Hupp Lincicome. She was a homemaker, and she was formerly employed by the former Weather Seal plant in Caldwell, and she was employed for 27 years as a custodian for Caldwell Savings and Loan. She was a founding member of the Caldwell Church of Christ, and a former member of the Amazon Chapter #30, OES. She enjoyed league bowling at King Pin Lanes in Cambridge, and she also enjoyed quilting and cleaning.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Edsel "Dutch" Connell, whom she married November 1, 1950, and who died December 8, 2004; six sisters, Sylvia McCauley, Vera Poling, Nina Williams, Bernice Hupp, Ruby Pierce, and infant Bessie Lincicome; and four brothers, Roy, Carl, Frank and infant Charles Ross Lincicome.
Surviving are one daughter, Joyce E. (John) Laipply of Summerfield; one son, Rick A. Connell of Caldwell; three grandchildren, Shandy R. Clark (Drew Penkal), Joshua A. "Turtle" Clark, and Cory J. Laipply, all of Summerfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 2, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, November 3rd at 11AM with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery.
