Mary Lou Tennant Johnson, age 79, of Dexter City, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, July 13, 2009, at her home. She was born May 4, 1930, in Ritchie County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Ora Tennant and Violet M. Cantwell Huffman. Mary was a full time homemaker, and she loved to play bingo with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael B. Johnson and William L. Johnson Jr.; one brother, James Edward Tennant; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Dawn Tennant and Jennifer Lynn Johnson. She is survived by four sons, Terry B. (Becky) Tennant of Marietta, Dennis W. (Carolyn) Johnson, Jay R. (Mary) Johnson and Russell A. Johnson, both of Dexter City; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins. Friends may call Thursday, July 16, 2009, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 at 1PM with Rev. Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Lund Cemetery in Macksburg, Ohio.
