Obituary for Mary D. Hronec
Mary D. Hronec, age 91, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born January 28, 1924, in Noble County, daughter of the late Clare and Lucille Jennings Heddleson. She was a 1941 graduate of Caldwell High School, and she was employed by the former Caldwell Produce. She was a cook at Belle Valley Elementary School, and later for the Noble Local School District. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pleasant City and St. Paul’s Ladies Aide. She loved reading and baking, and she loved her grandchildren, who were her life.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Hronec, whom she married September 29, 1945, and who died January 16, 2013; one son, Ronald A. Hronec, who died December 10, 2011; two sisters, Patricia Danford and Phyllis Milligan; and one brother, Eugene Heddleson.
Surviving are one daughter, Diane L. (James) Wharton of Caldwell; one daughter-in-law, Joan L. Hronec of Caldwell; two sisters, Doris Johnson of Cuyahoga Falls and Elaine Kelley of Amherst; one brother-in-law, Dean Milligan of Caldwell; four grandchildren, Douglas J. (Emmeline) Wharton of Caldwell, Andrea L. (Chad) Folmer of Caldwell, John R. Hronec of Columbus, and Andrew P. Hronec of Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, March 22, 2015, from 5-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Monday, March 23rd at 11AM with Pastor Michael Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Halleys Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Belle Valley Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
