Obituary for Mary Ann Nau
Mary Ann Nau, age 63, of Pleasant City, Ohio, died Friday, September 26, 2008, at her home. She was born December 9, 1944, in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of Ruth Ann Buckley Shondrick of Caldwell and the late John Michael Shondrick. She was a graduate of Caldwell High School and the Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Zanesville, and she attended Capital University to become a nurse practitioner. She was a registered nurse with the Noble County Health Department for over forty years, and she retired as a nursing supervisor. Mrs. Nau was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell and its Catholic Women's Club. She was a member of the Noble County Extension Advisory Committee, and she was a 4-H advisor for many years. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one brother, John William Shondrick. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Robert W. Nau, whom she married May 8, 1965; one daughter, Pamela L. (Michael) Thompson of Pleasant City; two sons, William D. Nau (fiance Kathy Springer) of Pleasant City and Stephen M. (Denise) Nau of Byesville; one sister-in-law, Patricia Shondrick of Barberton; five grandchildren, Brittani E. Nau, Jordan R. Nau, Stephen M. Nau, Jr., Heather A. Thompson, and Hope R. Nau; two-step-grandchildren, Kelsey D. Spires and Linsey N. Spires; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Sunday, September 28, 2008, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a Christian Scripture Service will be observed at 7:30PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Monday, September 29th at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caldwell, with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt.
