Obituary for Marsha F. Walters
Marsha F. Walters, age 62, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, September 29, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born November 2, 1951, in Marietta, daughter of the late Elwood W. “Woodie” and Mary O. Nau Pilcher. She was a 1969 graduate of Caldwell High School, and she was a homemaker. She was also a babysitter for many children for many years. Mrs. Walters was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Catholic Women’s Club. She enjoyed drawing, and she loved taking care of her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Samuel David Pilcher, who died in 1975; and one sister-in-law, Elaine Pilcher.
Surviving are her husband, Raymond Charles “Rusty” Walters, whom she married April 11, 1970; her children, Kevin Charles (Karrie) Walters, Kurt W. (Mackenzie) Walters, and Kelly F. (Ed) Pickenpaugh, all of Caldwell; her siblings, Laura (Ed) Schafer of Senecaville, Madeline Watson (Dennis Thompson) of Caldwell, Kathleen (Matthew) Jamiel of Cambridge, Edward J. Pilcher of Caldwell, and Thomas W. (Judy) Pilcher of Caldwell; 6 grandchildren, Patrick Pickenpaugh (Vanessa Patterson), Sara Pickenpaugh (Jared Garvin), and Blake Pickenpaugh, Dustin and Keegan Fritz, and Dawson Walters; one great-grandson, Luke Pickenpaugh; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call Wednesday, October 1, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a vigil service will follow at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Thursday, October 2nd at 10AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Noble County Health Department, 44069 Marietta Road, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, or to a charity of your choice.
