Obituary for Mark Thomas Boney
Mark Thomas Boney, age 43, of Scottdale, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Adams Lane Care Center, Zanesville. He was born February 16, 1966 in Columbus, son of Gladys R. Clark Boney of Caldwell and the late Thomas Ancil Boney, who died in 2005. He was a 1984 graduate of Westerville North High School and he was a 1988 graduate of Marietta Bible College, having earned a degree in Pastoral Theology. He was ordained as a minister on December 7, 1988. Mark served as pastor for Liberty Baptist Church in Slabtown, near Marietta. He was employed as a lab technician for Westmorland Mechanical Testing and Research, Inc. in Youngstown. He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Community Church in Acme, Pennsylvania, where he served as deacon, treasurer, and Sunday School superintendent. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, the late John and Ina McKee Boney and Harry and Louella Bates Clark. Surviving in addition to his mother are his daughter, Abigail Joy Boney of Mill Run, Pennsylvania; one sister, Tammi (Richard) Martin of Zanesville; two uncles; one aunt; one great-aunt; and several cousins. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 27th at 1PM with Pastors Leroy Kessler and Mark Leslie officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
