Obituary for Marjorie L. Ruppel
Marjorie L. Ruppel, age 77, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, August 30, 2018, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. She was born January 30, 1941, in Lowell, Ohio, daughter of the late Wesley and Lucille Dennis Johnson. She was a 1958 graduate of Dexter City High School. Margie was employed over the years by Gunnel’s Restaurant, The Dutch Hutch, and the McDonalds in Cambridge. She also did babysitting for many years. She was a member of the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Catholic Women’s Club, and she loved quilting, sewing, and reading. Her family was everything to her. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin F. Ruppel, her husband of 56 years, whom she married July 28, 1962; her children, Kenneth Marvin (Sherry) Ruppel of Huber Heights, Lisa M. (Donald) Saling of Caldwell, Teresa L. (Bob) Monds of Reynoldsburg, Angie K. (Mike) Moretto of Newport, and Linda D. Ruppel of Caldwell; two sisters, Jeanne (Bill) Hupp and Carol (Fred) Schell, all of Caldwell; her adopted brother, Jeff Braden of New Philadelphia; two aunts, Carol (Dean) Simon of Indiana and Viola Dennis of Marietta; her step-father, Charles J. “Junior” Braden of Caldwell; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a vigil service will be observed at 7:45PM followed by a rosary. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Wednesday, September 5th at 10AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
