Obituary for Marilyn Scott Graves
Marilyn Scott Graves, age 76, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, June 26, 2015, at her home. She was born October 16, 1938, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, daughter of the late John William Hornor and Joyce Trussler Hornor Lewis. She was a graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School in Nutterfort, West Virginia, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell. Marilyn enjoyed scrapbooking, camping, and watching football, golf, NASCAR, and Enduro racing.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Harry Lewis; her step-mother, Alice Hornor; a half-sister, Rebecca Litz; and one grandson, Matt Steese.
Surviving are her husband, Denver R. Graves, Jr., whom she married July 14, 1956; her children, Greg S. (Bernadette) Graves of Mars, Pennsylvania, Andy B. (Lori) Graves of Norman, Oklahoma, Jeff K. (Trena) Graves of Summerfield, Mark W. Graves of Shadyside, and Joyce A. (Tom) Steese of Caldwell; one daughter-in-law, Lori Graves of Sarahsville; one sister, Judy (John) Minear of Belington, West Virginia; a half-sister, Barbara (Dr. Jeff) Jackson of Bridgeport, West Virginia; a special friend, Dr. Dan (Donna) Ailes of Zanesville; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, 3 great-nephews, and one great-niece.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, July 1st at 11AM with Evangelist Robert Vincent officiating.
