Obituary for Margie E. Postel
Margie E. Postel, age 85, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. She was born July 21, 1931, in Herron’s Ridge, Noble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Albert and Louise Lori Miller. She attended St. Philomena High School in Caldwell, and later earned her GED when she was in her 50s. She retired from NCR in Cambridge, and she became employed at McDonalds in Caldwell when it opened, working there for 23 years. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, where she was a member of its choir and Catholic Women’s Club. Margie was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, and she enjoyed playing scratch off lottery, playing cards, especially solitare, reading and visiting the library, walking, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, William, Stanley, and Ronald “Butch” Miller.
Surviving are two children, Raymon Thomas “Tom” (Beth) Postel of Pleasant City and Jacqueline A. (Michael) Forshey of Zanesville; her siblings, Lillian Zeleznik of Caldwell, Dayle (Helen) Miller of Woodsfield, Norma “Jeanne” (Ed) Fleischer of Salisbury, Maryland, Jim (Bette) Miller of Sarahsville, JoAnn Miller of Nashville, Tennessee, Judy (Jack) Turner of Caldwell, and Robert (Brenda) Miller of Caldwell; 4 grandchildren, Brian (Jacque) Postel, Brent (Jamie) Postel, Jessica (Eric) Hardesty, and Joey (Hali) Forshey; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, May 7, 2017, from 4PM-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a vigil service will conclude visitation at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Monday, May 8th at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt.
