Obituary for Margaret D. Boney
Margaret D. 'Maw' Boney , age 77, of Sharon died Friday (1/16/2004) at Summit Acres Nursing Home. She was born on 3/19/1926 at Sharon, a daughter of the late John and Louise Archibald Walters. She was a graduate of Forest Grove High School, a homemaker and farmer. She was a 4-H advisor for over 20 years with the Covered Bridge Gang and Coffee Knob Wildcats. She was a member of the Olive Green United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 1 brother William Walters and 1 sister Ruth Wiley. She is survived by her husband John William Boney whom she married on 10/19/1951, 2 daughters; Judy L. (Horace) Hamilton of Zanesville, and Lorena K. (Boyd) Cunningham of Sharon, 3 sons; Lacy L. (Rhonda) Boney of Lore City, Loid J. (Janet) Boney of Sharon, and Lon J. (Ginny) Boney of Sharon, 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home on Sunday (1/18/2004) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where funeral services will be held on Monday (1/19/2004) at 1:00 pm with Rev. Wayne Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery.
