Obituary for Marcus LeRoy Leasure
Marcus LeRoy Leasure, age 75, of Akron, Ohio, died Thursday, October 2, 2014, at Akron General Medical Center. He was born March 3, 1939, in Noble County, son of the late Marcus Edward and Opal Juanita Clark Leasure. He was a 1957 graduate of Sarahsville High School. Mr. Leasure retired from Vito Gironda Construction Company, and he was a member of Laborers Union Local #856 in Akron. He loved fishing and deer hunting.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Smith; one son, Daniel Leasure; four sisters, Helen Leasure, Patty Ball, Betty Rochus, and Teresa Leasure; and two brothers, Robert Leasure and John Leasure.
Surviving are his wife, Martha E. Miley Leasure, whom he married September 20, 1957; three daughters, Dixie L. (Ed) Sterner of Akron, Diana L. (Bryan) Vechik of Mogadore, and Debbie J. (Glenn) Peterhanen of Cuyahoga Falls; two sisters, Margaret L. (Robert) Rossiter and Brenda J. Hannum, both of Pleasant City; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Sunday, October 5, 2014, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 1PM with Jason Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville.
