Obituary for Marcella Rita Snider
Marcella Rita Snider, age 93, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Altercare Summit Acres in Caldwell. She was born October 16, 1927, on the family farm near Fulda, daughter of the late Isadore Otto and Emma Molly Estadt Snider. Marcella was a graduate of Caldwell High School. Early in her life, she was a caregiver for an aunt and her family. Over the years, she worked at Moore’s Wayne Feed, the First National Bank, and as a church assistant at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she was a member of the church’s Catholic Women’s Club. Marcella enjoyed working puzzles and she loved spoiling her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, her twin sister, Mildred Snider and Lillian Snider; her brothers, Isadore A. Snider, Jr. and infant brother, Gerald Snider; infant twin siblings Mary and Joseph Snider; and two nephews, Steve Snider and infant nephew Scott Snider.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Andrew (Elaine) Snider of Michigan, Dana (Adrianne) Snider of Tennessee, Jacqueline (Ray) Toncray of Fulda, and Karen Snider of Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister-in-law, Dolores M. Snider of Fulda; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.
Friends may call Sunday, June 6, 2021, from 3-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a rosary service will follow visitation at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Monday, June 7th at 10:30AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
