M. Opal Wigner, age 93, formerly of Caldwell, and a resident of Wooster since 1999, died Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Smithville Western Care Center, Wooster. She was born April 2, 1913, in Johnstown, Ohio, daughter of the late William James 'Bill' Gray and Ellen Coffee Gray. She was a Noble County Home Health Companion for 25 years, and previously worked as a Home Health Care Provider for Noble and Washington Counties. She was a member of Dungannon United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, and quilting. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first huband, Harold Owen; her second husband, Robert Wigner; and a sister, Ruby Reed. Surviving are a son, Clyde William (Sandee) Owen of Smithville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Kathrine Sue Slater and Patricia Sue Ellen Wiser, both of Wooster; and three great-grandchildren, Joe Slater, Clifton Slater, and Autumn Slater, all of Wooster. Friends may call Tuesday, September 19, 2006, from 5:30-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Wednesday, September 20 at 11AM with Pastor Jon Irvin officiating. Burial will follow at Crooked Tree Cemetery.
