Obituary for Lucy Jane Shaklee Anderson
Lucy Jane Shaklee Anderson, age 81, of Cumberland, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017, following a short illness. She was born April 20, 1936, in Woodsfield, daughter of the late Orion Lynne and Iva Mae Marang Shaklee. She attended Sarahsville High School, and she retired in 1999 from Ametek-March Electric in Cambridge following 38 years of service. Lucy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing games, especially playing Bid-Cynch with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, painting ceramics, and making crafts, including making a special holiday craft with her family every year. She loved caring for her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert L. Anderson, whom she married June 19, 1953, and who died September 9, 2010; four sisters, Zella Clark, Thelma Feyh, Ethel Espenchied, and Charlotte Shaklee; and three brothers, Charles E. Shaklee, Robert W. Shaklee, and Richard M. Shaklee.
Surviving are her children, Ronald L. (Paula) Anderson of Cambridge, Rodney W. (Loretta) Anderson of Cumberland, Robin G. (Vickie) Anderson of New Philadelphia, Randy S. (Debra) Anderson of Cambridge, Deborah J. (Duane) Linn of South Zanesville, and Dixie J. Anderson of Cumberland; three sisters-in-law, Nellie Clark of Caldwell, Beulah Anderson of Byesville, and Bernita Anderson of Chesapeake; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved and faithful poodle Bichon mix, Penny.
