Louella Lee Tilton, age 75, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born August 19, 1934, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Rupert and Audrey Davison Sorg. She was employed as a waitress for the former Schafers Restaurant in Caldwell, and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Tilton was a faithful member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell, which she attended for 46 years. She was also a member of the Noble County Homemakers, for which she served as president and treasurer, a member of the Noble County Stepping Stones for Ohio Valley University, and a member of the East Union Homemakers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Marion Khune, who died in 1959; and two brothers, Vernon T. Sorg and Darrel G. Sorg.
Surviving are her husband, Roscoe L. Tuffy Tilton, whom she married February 2, 1964; two daughters, Wanda S. (Brent) Bates of Sarahsville and Carol A. Tilton (special friend Roger Lincicome) of Cambridge; one son, Edwin L. (Rhonda G.) Tilton of Pleasant City; two sisters, Betty Warner of Summerfield and Irene Bates Ferguson of Largo, Florida; one brother, Rupert T. (Lydia Ann) Sorg of Marysville;three sisters-in-law, Mary Sorg of Sarahsville and Katie (Jim) Shilling and Marie Tilton, both of Pickerington; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 8, 2010, form 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, June 9th at 2PM with Evangelist Craig Matheney officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery, Caldwell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Church of Christ, 631 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
