Obituary for Lorena L. "Cindy" Bond
Lorena L. “Cindy” Bond, age 59, of Macksburg, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Ross Heart Hospital at Wexner OSU Medical Center in Columbus. She was born November 25, 1955, in Marietta, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Waterman Byer. She was employed as an aide at the Washington County Home, and she was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Bradenton, Florida, and attended the Macksburg United Methodist Church. Cindy enjoyed camping and playing cards. She loved all animals big and small, and she enjoyed caring for them. She loved her family and friends, and she loved her dogs Maggy and Baby, and her cat, Baby Cat.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bond, who died in 1999; two daughters, Johnna Byers and Mary Byers-Sanner; one step-son, Larry Wood Bond; and one brother, Lee Byers.
Surviving are two step-daughters, Penny Suarez of Oklahoma and Peggy (Jack) Sloter of Lowell; one step-son, James (Mary) Bond of Summerfield; two sisters, Nancy (Robert) Keller of Macksburg and Shirley Siders of Marietta; two brothers, Bill (Sonnie) Byers of Whipple and John (Debbie) Byer of Sharon; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Sunday, March 30, 2014, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. The funeral service will be observed Monday, March 31st at 11AM at the Macksburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Thurman Harmon and Pastor Ken Ogg officiating. Burial will follow at Lund Cemetery in Macksburg. Memorial contributions may be made to McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, P. O. Box 263, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
