Obituary for Linda Ruth Hayes Swan
Linda Ruth Hayes Swan age 68, of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Noble County, Ohio, died Friday, February 17, 2017, at Shea Park Nursing Home in Scottsdale. She was born December 7, 1948, in Noble County, daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Gleason Hayes. She was a 1966 graduate of Caldwell High School, and she was employed as a secretary for many years. Linda was Catholic by faith. She enjoyed cooking and being outdoors, and she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Richard “Dick” Hayes and Kenneth Hayes.
Surviving are two sons, Bradley C. (Anne) Swan of Scottsdale, Arizona and Edward T. (Rebecca) Swan of Gilbert, Arizona; her siblings, Mary Clark of Caldwell, Mabel Schott of Caldwell, Hazel Fogle of Caldwell, Guy T. (Marilyn) Hayes of Grove City, Nancy (Jim) Wells of Belle Valley, and Jack (Shirley) Hayes of Caldwell; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Swan, Cali Swan, Tanner Swan, Trevor Swan, and Jackson Swan; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Monday, February 27, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, February 28th at 11AM with Pastor George Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Ogle’s Ridge Cemetery.
