Obituary for Linda Jean Archer Richards
Linda Jean Archer Richards, age 63, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, April 22, 2016, at her home. She was born October 28, 1952, in Cambridge, daughter of Elizabeth “Betty” Urdak Archer of Caldwell, and the late James Everett Archer, who died January 29, 1998. She was a 1970 graduate of Shenandoah High School, and she was employed by Barnesville Veterinary Hospital for over 10 years. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell. Linda enjoyed reading and cooking, and she loved spending time with her family, and her late Boxer dog, Becker.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Richards, whom she married March 17, 1979, and who died April 24, 1986; one nephew, James H. Archer; and her dear friend, Dr. Fred Clagus.
Surviving are her siblings, Emma Catherine “Cathy” (Greg) Phibbs of Phoenix, Arizona, Luann (Leo) Michel and Kenneth Alan (Tina) Archer, all of Sarahsville, and Larry James (Beth) Archer of Florida; her nieces and nephews, Kevin, Christopher, Jessica, Katie, Tommy, Lucas, Logan, and Kim; one great-niece; 3 great-nephews; one great-great-niece; and many cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a Christian Scripture Service will follow visitation at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Wednesday, April 27th at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell.
